Monster Lizard Blizzard Marathon Madness

On February 1st, at Loyola University, Home of WLUW, classes were cancelled and DJs were told that the building is going to be closed. I had made it home from my radio show at 8am, and I woke up at 11am. I went to pick up my mail to have someone tell me there was going to be a blizzard. I think Kenny Kicks called me and told me that DJs were told not to come in after 6pm. They said there were going to be 45 mph winds, there ended up being 20 inches of snow. I had a strong urge to go in there and camp out. I always like to go out during storms. I brought canned food and coffee. The wind was very heavy. I was able to go out and see the winds whip around with light sleet illuminated by street lights, like an inferno. At 5AM I saw a heavy set man being escorted into an ambulance, presumably for frost bite, he couldn't walk, but he didn't seem to always have been that way, and he didn't seem drunk. At 9AM, I saw a man's car break down after trying to push it out of snow for a long time, smoke billowing out from underneath his hood, obscured by the whiteness all around.
